Who We Are
Mindanao Energy Systems, Inc. (MINERGY) is a pioneering Independent Power Producer (IPP) dedicated to delivering clean, reliable, and sustainable energy to Mindanao. Established in 1992 by the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company Inc. (CEPALCO), MINERGY was created to address the crippling power supply crisis, becoming the first independent power producer in Mindanao region to sell directly to a private distribution utility. Since then, the company has grown into a key player in the energy sector, expanding its presence with power plants in Misamis Oriental—Plaridel, Claveria, and Balingasag—and in Barangay Kili-og, Baungon, Bukidnon. Our headquarters and diesel power plants are strategically located in Barangay Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City, ensuring efficient operations that meet the energy demands of industries, businesses, and communities.
